To access many authenticated university services and create accounts, new students, department sponsored guests, faculty, and staff must first activate their UIC NetID. New students, and department sponsored external affiliates will use the “UIC NetID Activation” page to activate their NetID. Faculty, and staff will go through, “UI New Hire” portal to activate their NetID.

The account management service allows an individual to request the creation of additional university accounts associated to their person or their department.
The authentication service provides users the ability to authenticate against password-protected systems using a UIC NetID and UIC password.
The Liaison Manager application allows Delegate Authorities to manage their unit's liaisons. Liaisons are staff members within each department who have been designated to fulfill a specific role on behalf of their department. Individuals can have more than one liaison role for one or many departments and have access to various tools to fulfill that role.
The password management service allows you to change and recover password for credentials assigned to you as well as to manage two factor authentication devices and settings for your accounts.
