What Is It?
Identity Activation is a critical piece of the onboarding process for all members of the university community. Identity activation includes the provisioning of a university NetID, setting your password, setting up two-factor authentication, and creating your accounts including your university email account. Upon activation, your UIC identity is represented by your university NetID, or network ID. Your NetID and password are the credentials you will use to access systems and resources across the University of Illinois System.
