3D Digitization (Library)

3D Digitization captures and recreates a real-world object into a 3D representation. The IDEA Lab will 3D scan objects and send you the file.

3D Printing (Library)

Faculty, students, and staff are welcome to submit a print request to the IDEA Lab 3D Printing Studio and the IDEA Lab will print the design.

Augmented and Virtual Reality (Library)

The IDEA Lab provides Augmented Reality (AR) / Virtual Reality (VR) headsets for loan, hardware and software to develop content, and an immersive studio for production.

Digital Publishing (IOPN)

The Illinois Open Publishing Network (IOPN) offers a suite of publishing services. It facilitates the dissemination of high-quality, open access scholarly publications.

Illinois Data Bank

The Illinois Data Bank is a public access repository for publishing research data from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. We curate and preserve all of our datasets and assign DOIs for easy linking and impact tracking.

Loanable Laptops (Library)

The Library offers a limited number laptops for short-term loan.

Loanable Technology (Library)

The Library offers a variety of technology available for loan covering everything from chargers and computer accessories to cameras and AR/VR technology.

Media Production Studios (Library)

The Library provides self use media booths and mediated studios to produce digital media (audio and video).

Research and Scholarship Repository (IDEALS)

The Illinois Digital Environment for Access to Learning and Scholarship (IDEALS) provides a platform for depositing research and scholarship, ensuring persistent and reliable access.

Research Data Service

The Research Data Service is a campuswide program that provides the Illinois research community with the expertise, tools, and infrastructure necessary to manage and steward research data.

Research Evidence Synthesis

This offering provides a comprehensive collection and critical appraisal of all evidence on a well-defined topic using standardized methods and tools to synthesize and transparently report conclusions on a research topic.

The Savvy Researcher workshop series is sponsored by the University Library to meet the information management and research needs of all students, faculty, and staff.
