Step 1: Check for Multiple Entries in Entra
- Navigate to Microsoft Entra Admin Center or Azure portal.
- Search for the device in question.
- If multiple entries exist:
- Identify if any entries are marked as Hybrid Joined.
- If a device is hybrid joined, you must first remove the corresponding computer object from on-premises Active Directory before proceeding.
Step 2: Handle Autopilot Devices
- If the device displays a message indicating it is an Autopilot device:
- Go to Microsoft Intune Admin Center.
- Navigate to Devices > Windows > Windows Enrollment > Devices (Autopilot).
- Search for the device using its serial number.
- Remove the device from the Autopilot devices list.
