Features and tools
Active Directory Class Rosters
Class Rosters are Active Directory Security Groups based on student enrollment. This means that for every term, course, section, and division, a security group exists with all of its students as members of that group. This enables programmers and administrators to control access and authentication of electronic resources based on a student's curriculum.  AD Class Rosters are FERPA compliant. Documented FERPA training is required in order to gain access.

Other Active Directory features and tools:  Centralized configuration management using Group Policy Objects (GPOs), Organizational Unit (OU) containers with delegated rights, WINS name resolution
