What Is It?
ACER has partnered with Amazon Web Services (AWS) and the UIC Library to provide archival storage space to UIC faculty members for research funded through federal grants. The storage is hosted on Amazon’s S3 Glacier Deep Archive, which provides low cost storage for data that needs to be archived for several years in order to meet the data retention and sharing requirements of NIH and other federal research grants.

Requirements
This service is intended only for the preservation and sharing of federally funded research data. Data hosted on this service must have an accompanying metadata record uploaded to UIC's INDIGO repostitory. Instructions for creating a metadata record can be found here.
