Who are we?
Education Technology Services (previously called Educational Technology Lab, ETL) provides comprehensive technology services and support to the UIC College of Education. We support faculty, staff, departments, and students by managing the College's computing infrastructure, classroom technology, administrative systems, networking, information security, and instructional technologies. Our goal is to deliver reliable, secure, and innovative technology solutions that support teaching, learning, research, and administrative operations.
In addition to day-to-day IT support, Education Technology Services provides technology consultation, equipment recommendations, virtual computing resources, server and database administration, printing and multimedia services, temporary equipment loans, and secure electronics disposal.

Services Offered
- IT support for hardware, software, and operating systems.
- New device setup and configuration.
- Desktop, laptop, mobile device, and peripheral support.
- Classroom, conference room, and audiovisual (AV) equipment support.
- Network connectivity, including UIC-WiFi, guest wireless access, wired networking, and network device troubleshooting.
- Software installation, troubleshooting, hardware upgrades, and component replacement.
- Multimedia services, including video editing, encoding, transcoding, transcription, and VHS-to-digital conversion.
- Data backup, recovery, restoration, secure wiping, and device reimaging.
- Temporary equipment checkout, including laptops, projectors, cameras, microphones, webcams, tablets, telepresence robots, SMART Boards, and accessories.
- Secure electronics disposal, including data sanitization, device decommissioning, asset retirement, and e-waste recycling.

No charges to College of Education affiliates. Some services may require additional approvals.
Which Classrooms/Conference Rooms Do We Support?
Room 3015 – Defense Room
- Equipped with a built-in Windows computer. It is integrated with 360-degree microphone, wall-mounted PTZ camera, podium display, medium wall display and a podium.
- Supports user’s personal devices (can access podium display and wall display) .
- Technology supports video conferencing.
Room 3312 – Conference Room
- Equipped with a built-in Windows PC, medium wall display, 360-degree desk microphone, PTZ camera, speakers
- Supports user’s personal devices (can access wall display) .
- Supports video conferencing and Echo360 lecture capture for the blackboard.
Room 3233 – Commons Room
- Equipped with a Windows PC, camera with built-in microphone, and a large wall display.
- Supports wireless display from personal devices (can access wall display).
- Technology supports video conferencing.
Room 3427 – Classroom
- Bring your own personal device. No built-in computer.
- Includes wireless microphones (if needed), projector, wall-mounted PTZ camera, and a podium.
- Supports video conferencing and Echo360 lecture capture.
Room 1419 – Classroom
- Bring your own personal device. No built-in computer.
- Equipped with a large wall display, camera, and wireless microphone (if needed).
- Supports video conferencing and Echo360 lecture capture.
Room 1433 – Classroom
- Bring your own personal device. No built-in computer.
- Equipped with a large wall display, camera, and wireless microphone (if needed).

Room L268 – Classroom
- Equipped with a Windows PC, podium, wall-mounted PTZ camera, document camera, microphone, and projector.

Room 3027 – CUEL Conference Room
- Equipped with a Windows PC and also supports user’s personal devices.
- Built-in computer includes a camera, wall display, and microphone.
- Technology supports video conferencing.
Room 3411 – ED Psychology Conference Room
- Equipped with a Windows PC.
- Includes a camera, wall display, and microphone.
- Technology supports video conferencing.
Room 3252 – Classroom
- Equipped with a Windows PC and podium.
- Features two wall-mounted PTZ cameras (Logitech Rally Camera (Part #: 960-001226) is a premium PTZ (Pan-Tilt-Zoom, only one usable at a time), two smart wall microphones with speakers (Nureva HDL310 Audio Conference System, 2 × 20-watt), a large 86″ primary whiteboard-capable display (IFP8662 – 86″ 4K Touch Enabled ViewBoard Smart Display), and two medium side wall displays (Samsung BEC-H Series 55″ UHD 4K HDR Commercial Monitor).
- Supports user’s personal devices. All displays, smart wall mic/speakers, wall cameras are accessible via USB cables on the podium.
- Technology supports video conferencing.
Room 1013 – Classroom
- Equipped with a Windows PC and an all-in-one smart bar (Logitech Rally Bar Mini – 3840 x 2160 Video – 120° Angle – 4x Digital Zoom – Microphone – Wireless LAN – Network (RJ-45), 12W full range speaker).
- Includes a large wall display 85″ (Samsung Advanced Digital Whiteboard WM85B WMB Series – 85″ LED-backlit LCD display – 4K)
- Display is capable of functioning as a whiteboard (with pens on the display side).
- Supports video conferencing and user’s personal devices (access to wall display).
Room 3008 – Conference Room
- Equipped with a Mac, overhead speakers, PTZ camera, 360-degree desk microphone, and medium wall display.
- Technology supports video conferencing.
- Supports user’s personal devices (access to wall display).
Room 3109 – Conference Room
- Equipped with a Windows PC, medium wall display, and an all-in-one smart bar (microphone, camera, and speakers).
- Technology supports video conferencing.
- Supports user’s personal devices (access to wall display).
Room 3145 – Student Success Advertisements
- Equipped with a Windows PC and a small wall monitor.
- Primarily used for displaying advertisements.
