How do I register 2FA while off-campus?

Following these steps, you will be able to enroll in 2FA while away from the campus network.

Note: You must have password recovery options set up in order to follow these steps. If you do not have up-to-date recovery options, please visit How do I check or update my password recovery options?

  1. Visit NetID Center and click Log in.
     
  2. Log in with your NetID and password.
     
  3. Select Set up 2FA.

  4. Select Get Registration Code.

  5. Choose which option you want to have your registration code sent.
     
  6. If you choose to have your registration code sent via e-mail, the code will be sent to the recovery email address you have chosen for your NetID password recovery settings.
     
  7. Note: If you do not receive the registration code within a few minutes check the spam/junk email folder of your email client.

  8. If you choose to have your registration code sent via text, this screen will appear after selecting the method to receive your registration code.

  9. Check your phone for the registration code.


     
  10. Enter the registration code and press Enter to submit.

  11. After entering the registration code, the setup process will begin. From here, visit How do I set up Duo 2FA? to review your options and steps to proceed.
