Here you can find a brief description on how to listen, archive and download messages from Asterisk.
You can reach the old voicemail system by dialing 312-355-5960 from any phone (or 55960 from a UIC phone) and enter your extension and PIN. You can also check it online by going to accountportal.uic.edu and clicking Voicemail and logging in with your NetID. This will also allow you to download .wav files of your messages.
Note: The Asterisk system will be eventually shut down. It is recommended that users download any messages they wish to archive onto their local computer.
