Why can't I login to Blackboard (New UIC User)?

If you cannot log into Blackboard and you are new to UIC, it is likely that a password has not yet been set for your UIC NetID. For students, this is commonly done during orientation.
 

In order to set your password for the first time, please go to it.uic.edu/tech-helpdesk to book an appointment for assistance with the Technical Helpdesk.

Note: This must be done in person and you must present a valid i-Card.

After setting your password, your Blackboard account normally gets automatically created. However, if you still have an issue, you should follow these steps to manually create a Blackboard account:

1. Go to https://accountportal.uic.edu/

2. Log in with your NetID and password

3. Select "Blackboard" from list of accounts

4. Click "Create account"
