Request DEP Enrollment from Endpoint Services

  1. Go to https://endpointservices.illinois.edu/.
  2. Select contact the EPS Team from the bottom of the page.
  3. Under Select Service, choose Workspace One.
  4. Under Select Request Type, choose DEP Enrollment.
  5. Enter the serial number(s).
  6. For Name of DEP profile to apple to devices (if known): , enter DEP - COE.
  7. Wait for their confirmation before turning on device.

Add Intended User to Active Directory (AD) group

Ask someone from the following list to add/check for the intended user in the AD group called ED Airwatch Users.
Provide them with the intended user's name and NetID.

Munki

If a computer is new, add it to Munki. If it's an existing machine, rename if needed and reopen time window.

  1. Go to https://munki.eps.uillinois.edu/ and log in.
  2. Click on Manage Your Computers.
  3. Enter the machine's serial number in the search field. By default it says 'Filter Table on 'Name' or "Serial Number'.
  4. If needed, rename the machine by change the name
  5. Enter 43800 in the Windows (minutes) field.
  6. Check Use Templates.
  7. For Template Identifier, select Single User.
  8. Check Force Retemplating.
  9. Check Force Rename.

 

Factory Reset - Existing Machine Only

Intel-based Mac

First erase the Mac and then reinstall macOS.

  1. Erase the Mac by following the steps from https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT208496.
  2. Reinstall macOS by following steps from https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT204904
