Description Students, faculty, and staff use the Illinois Wiki, which is a web-based application, to easily create, edit, and store content in a collaborative online environment.

Features and tools The Illinois Wiki enables users to collaborate on content including blogs and comments, sharing of indexed file attachments across pages and users, and sharing and exporting of pages to email, print, Adobe PDF format, text, and HTML.

How to get the service Access to the Illinois Wiki is available to anyone with an active Urbana NetID, although some sites may be restricted to specific individuals by the space owner. New Illinois Wiki spaces are requested through the Space Request Form at https://wiki.cites.uiuc.edu/spacerequest/.
Cost No charge
Usage constraints Upload file size limited to 15MB. Different groups maintain their own spaces and control access options to the content. Technology Services does not monitor space content for compliance.

Monthly OS patching occurs on the third Wednesday from 5:30 a.m. through 7:30 a.m. Trivial changes are scheduled on weekdays after 5 p.m. Major changes such as upgrades are scheduled on weekends.
