What Is It?

One of the multimedia production services for faculty to create accessible multimedia materials for use in their courses.

The Lightboard Studio allows faculty to record themselves while writing on a tempered, mounted glass board while displaying other relevant materials.

Lightboard videos are ideal for:

  • Flipped model classes
  • Supplemental material
  • Reviewing material
  • Deeper explanations
  • Planned event class cancellations

Who Is Eligible To Use It?

Where Can I Get It?

Schedule an appointment at Request Multimedia Services. In the calendar, select the Lightboard Studio service option and then select from available dates and times to schedule your appointment.

How Much Does It Cost?

The use of the Lightboard Studio is free for all UIC faculty and TAs if used for instruction for UIC students.

However, there are potential costs associated with production studio use and editing if for non-credit courses or non-UIC enrolled students.
