Business Analysis (Draft)

What Is It?

A Business Analyst is a professional who helps identify business needs and find solutions. They play a crucial role in understanding and improving business processes, eliciting requirements, and ensuring projects align with organizational goals. A Business Analyst acts as the voice of end users, to make sure their needs are heard by the project team. 

Examples of BA engagements include: 

  • Selecting a tool that meets business needs  
  • Assessing effectiveness of an existing tool  
  • Analyzing a business process  
  • Confirming that projects align with organizational goals 

Who Is Eligible To Use It?

Faculty and staff may request a business analysis engagement for their team or unit.

How Do I Use It?

When you request an engagement, you will be put into a queue of requests. Once our team is ready to work with you, we will reach out to set up a consultation meeting and work with you to set up a plan for the engagement. This could include meetings with your team, individual interviews, surveys, building use cases, etc. At the end of the engagement, you will receive a report with our findings and recommendations. 

How Much Does It Cost?

Currently, there is no cost as we build and refine this service.
