Set up your Android phone to work with UIC Exchange using the official Microsoft Outlook App, following the steps below.
- Install the Microsoft Outlook app from the Play Store.
- Once it's installed tap to open.
- Tap on Get Started
- Enter your email address (<NetID>@uic.edu)
- Tap Continue
- Tap on Not an IMAP Mail Account? if you see that option.
Note: If you have an "Office" account already set up on your device, then you will see a screen prompting you to add an Exchange account. Simply enter your UIC email address and Technology Solutions common password on this screen to continue.
- Tap on Microsoft/Office 365
- On the login screen, enter your Technology Solutions common password.
- Authenticate with Duo 2-Factor Authentication when prompted. Please visit How do I get started with Duo 2FA for more information about Duo.
- When prompted to "Activate phone administrator", tap on Activate.
Note: It may take a minute or two for this prompt to appear.
- When prompted to "Set device encryption", tap Not Now.
- When prompted, add another account if you so desire. Otherwise, tap maybe later.
- Press skip to skip the tutorial if you so desire.
