About this service

Description Technology Services is retiring the Centrex service. Requests to install new Centrex lines are no longer accepted pending the planned Centrex retirement.

Centrex utilizes traditional copper line technologies to provide telephony services to campus and is primarily used for emergency phones.
Other names Centrex has also been referred to as "legacy voice" as well as "landline" phone service.

Getting and using this service

Who can use the service Faculty/Staff
How to get the service Requests for Centrex services are submitted by Pinnacle Department Managers as service requests via Pinnacle. Requests to install new Centrex lines are no longer accepted pending the planned Centrex retirement.
Cost A basic Centrex line has a $65 one-time installation charge and $22.60 per month recurring charge with additional charges for non-standard Centrex features (voicemail, speed dial, extensions, etc.)
Usage constraints Long distance restrictions apply as requested.
