Scanning to Email

The new Ricoh Copier/Printers can also scan documents and send them directly to an email address.

1. Begin by putting the original(s) in the document feeder or directly on the scanner glass.
   • Document Feeder: Original document(s) should be face up in the tray
   • Scanner Glass: Original document(s) should be face down with the upper corner in the corner next to the indicated arrow
2. Login to the device using your PIN or NetID and password
   
3. Once logged in tap the Scanner button in the upper left corner of the display
   
4. Once on the Scan to Email page select the destination address in the address book at the bottom of the page under the Freq. tab
   [This address should be that of the person has logged into the device]
   
   • Adding additional destinations to scans to
     • Touch the +Add button 
     • Touch Enter Using Keyboard and type the destination email address and tap Done
     • In the Destination box there will be the number of destinations listed as well as the addresses for each
5. Before tapping Start review the items above the start button to ensure the scan settings are going to send the expected results
   1. Original Type: Select the color option that best fits the document
   2. File Type: Select the file format that is needed for the scan
   3. Resolution: Select the resolution that is needed for the scanned file. The higher the resolution the larger the file size received in email
   4. Original Settings: Select if the original document is single sided, double sided, or book type
6. After the setting are verified tap the Start button to begin the scan. Once the scan is complete the file will be in the destination email inbox
7. Tap the Logout button in the upper right corner when completed with all scans
