Kaltura: Recording and Uploading on a Chromebook
Install Screencastify
Click on the Screencastify Extension link.
Click
Add to Chrome
.
Click
Add Extension
.
Click on the Extensions button in the upper right-hand corner of the screen and choose Screencastify.
Click
on the pin button so that your Screencastify always appears on your extensions toolbox.
Sign in with your Google Account.
Allow Screencastify to use your webcam, microphone, and drawing and annotation tools by clicking
Allow
when prompted.
Create your Video
Use Screencastify to create the media
for your assignment.
How to Upload a Video in Kaltura Media
Go to
UIS Canvas
.
Go to a Canvas Course and click on “My Media.”
Click on “Add New” and then select “Media Upload.”
Click “Choose a file to upload” and select your file.
Your video will upload automatically. Depending on the size, this may take a while.
After your video uploads, edit the name, description, tags (key words), and privacy settings.
Click “Save” to complete the upload process.

They can, however, use the Chrome extension Screencastify to capture their video and then upload that video.
