Alumni Email Forwarding

What Is It?

UIC Alumni Email Forwarding is a service that allows eligible University of Illinois Chicago (UIC) alumni to continue receiving emails sent to their UIC email address by automatically forwarding them to a designated personal email address.

This service is available to UIC alumni who graduated in 2020 or later. Eligible alumni can request to set up email forwarding for the first time or update their existing forwarding email address.

Features

• Email Forwarding: Automatically forwards incoming messages sent to an eligible alumnus's UIC email address to a designated personal email address.
• Initial Setup: Allows eligible alumni to request email forwarding for the first time.
• Address Updates: Allows alumni with existing email forwarding to request a change to their designated personal email address.

Requirements

To request Alumni Email Forwarding, you must:

• Be a UIC alumnus who graduated in 2020 or later.

Please Note: Alumni who graduated in 2019 or earlier are not eligible to request forwarding through this service.

Limitations

While Alumni Email Forwarding allows eligible alumni to receive messages sent to their UIC email address, some emails may not be successfully forwarded due to security policies established by the original sender's email provider or organization.

These restrictions are outside of UIC's control and may prevent certain messages from reaching your designated forwarding address. Changing your forwarding email address may not resolve these delivery issues.

For important or time-sensitive communications, we recommend providing senders with your personal email address directly to help ensure successful delivery.

Who Is Eligible To Use It?

UIC Alumni Email Forwarding is available to University of Illinois Chicago alumni who graduated in 2020 or later.

Where Can I Get It?

Eligible alumni can request email forwarding by selecting the Request Alumni Email Forwarding button on this service offering page.

The request form allows you to:

• Set up alumni email forwarding for the first time.
• Update an existing forwarding email address.

You will need to provide your UIC NetID, University Identification Number (UIN), and the personal email address where you would like your UIC emails forwarded.

How Do I Use It?

Once your request has been reviewed and processed, incoming emails sent to your UIC email address will automatically be forwarded to your designated personal email address.

To change your forwarding email address, return to this service offering page, select Request Alumni Email Forwarding, and choose the option to update your existing forwarding address.

Please Note: Alumni Email Forwarding does not provide continued access to your UIC email mailbox. It only redirects incoming messages to your designated personal email address.

There is no cost to eligible UIC alumni for this service.
