College of Dentistry - Digital Accessibility Consultation

The College of Dentistry is committed to ensuring that digital content, such as websites, digital course materials, and other electronic communications, meet the WCAG standards and can be used by all community members. We provide the services below to support digital accessibility. 

Features

We are here to guide with digital accessibility across your work, including but not limited to: 

  • Documents: Microsoft Office files (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and Adobe PDFs. 

  • Videos: review guidance on captioning in Echo360 and other platforms. 

  • Coursework support: accessibility guidance for content in Blackboard and Canvas. 

  • Website support: accessibility guidance for departmental content hosted on UIC Red multisite.  

  • Training: one-on-one or small group training on accessibility best practices for faculty and staff. 

  • General questions and other: not sure where to start? Submit a ticket and we will help point you in the right direction. 

Please note: issues related to vendor or third-party platform accessibility, such as system-level limitations in ExamSoft, Echo360, or other enterprise tools, may need to be escalated to IT or the vendor directly. We will help you identify and route those issues appropriately.
