How can I access Microsoft 365 Copilot?

To access Microsoft 365 Copilot at UIC, follow these steps:

1. Opt in to using UIC AI Tools at it.uic.edu/ai-opt-in.
2. Purchase the Microsoft 365 Copilot license from the Webstore.
3. Once you have received order confirmation, you may access Copilot via the web (m365.cloud.microsoft/chat) or via the Copilot icon within various Microsoft 365 applications (e.g. Outlook, Teams, etc).
4. When you first access Copilot, you will be prompted to review and accept the below Risk Acceptance Terms.

   
   
   Note: If you select Decline, you will be restricted from accessing any of UIC's M365 assets such as Email and Calendaring, Teams or OneDrive until the workflow is reversed and your account is removed from access to M365 Copilot, shown below. To resolve this, you can either accept the terms after you attempt to log in again or contact the university WebStore and have them remove you from the M365 Copilot license.
