How do I change my Asterisk VoIP password?

Explains how someone can change their voicemail password on their VoIP phone

If you have forgotten your password, you can request a reset of your password. If you already know your password and want to change it:

  • Press the message button to access your voicemail.
  • Press (0) to access submenu
  • Select (1) Record unavailable message
  • Select (3) Change Name
  • Select (4) Temporary greeting
  • Options #4 Sub menu mailbox
  • Select (1) Accept message
  • Select (2) Listen to new greeting
  • Select (3) Rerecord the greeting
  • Press the message button to access your voicemail.
  • Enter security code followed by the # key
  • Press (0)
  • Select Mail box option (4)
  • Select (1) to Record temporary greeting.
  • Select (2) to Remove temporary greeting.
  • Press (5) Change your password
  • * To return to main menu
