How to open Box Documents Collaborativly

Mac

  • Open the file or folder you want to share within your Box
  • Locate the "Share" button on the file or folder page
  • Enter the email addresses of the people you want to collaborate with.
  • Set access level: Select the permission level you want to grant each collaborator (e.g., editor, viewer, commenter).
  • Click "Send" to send out the collaboration invitations

PC

  • Open the folder you will use for collaboration.
  • Hover over the file/folder and click the "Share" button. 
  • In the "Share" window, enter the email addresses of the people you want to collaborate with.
  • Select the permission level for each collaborator (like "Editor" for full editing rights or "Previewer" for read-only access)
  • Click "Send Invites" to send collaboration invitations to the specified email addresses.

Co Editing Files Online

  • open the document within Box online
  • this will automatically launch the file in an Online Format (e.g., word, PPT, or Adobe)
  • If the file is shared you will be able to edit together in real time
