Intro
iPads purchased by the College of Education can be setup in one of two methods. The method depends on their intended use. If the iPad will be used as a personal device by ONE person then use Method 1 below. If the iPad is intended for multiple users OR non-UofI people, use Method 2 below.
Method 1: Personal Use
NOTE: Please DO NOT TURN ON the device(s) until you receive confirmation that the DEP request was completed.
- Submit DEP Form
- Go to http://go.illinois.edu/EPSHelp.
- Select Fill out new form.
- Select Workspace One > DEP Enrollment.
- For DEP profile enter DEP - COE.
- Add the intended user to AD group
- Email or Message Michael Painter [mpainter@illinois.edu] or Rob Ras [rras2@illinois.edu]. Ask them to add the NetID of the intended user to the AD group ED AirWatch Users.
- There is a 30 minute wait period after the user has been added.
- Give iPad to user.
- The user will need to connect to WiFi.
- The user will need to log in - see screenshot.
- Done.
Method 2: Multi-User or Non UofI People

- Submit DEP Form
- Go to http://go.illinois.edu/EPSHelp.
- Select Fill out new form.
- Select Workspace One > DEP Enrollment.
- For DEP profile enter DEP - COE - Autoenroll.
- Give iPad to user.
