How can I change my existing university NetID password?

You can self-manage your university password via the NetID Center

Please follow these instructions to change your university password when you already know it. If you have forgotten your password, refer to these instructions: I forgot my password, what should I do?

  1. Go to: identity.uillinois.edu


     
  2. Select Change password.

     
  3. Log in with your NetID (do not add '@uic.edu) and your current password. Confirm or set your password recovery settings.


     
  4. Change your existing password when prompted.
