How to View Group List of Servers
To view your group list of servers in Defender, follow the steps below:
Step 1: Access the Microsoft 365 Defender Portal
- Open your web browser and navigate to the Microsoft 365 Defender portal at https://security.microsoft.com
Step 2: Navigate to the Device Inventory
- In the left-hand navigation pane, click on Assets, and then select Devices. This will open the Device inventory page, displaying all devices associated with your organization.
Step 3: Filter Devices by Operating System
- At the top of the Device inventory page, locate the filter options.
- Click on the OS platform filter.
- From the dropdown menu, select All of the Server OSes such as Windows server 2008 to 2025, Linux and Other:
Step 4: Filter Devices by Onboarding Status
- Click on the Onboarding status filter.
- Select Onboarded to view only devices that have been onboarded to Microsoft Defender.
Step 5: Filter Devices by Group Name (Optional)
If your organization utilizes device groups for better management:
- Click on the Group filter.
- Enter your specific group name to filter the list accordingly. Typically it's your unit/college prefix for Named and Tagged Devices such as AHS Named Devices and AHS Tagged Devices:
- Click Apply and view all of your servers.
