How do I navigate the QSYS Control Interface?

Overview

This article explains how to navigate the QSYS Control Interface. 


Main Dashboard & Source Routing 

The main screen contains controls for display power, video input selection, and general speaker output. 

  • Projector Power: Tap ON or OFF on the top-left menu to power the room's display. Use AV MUTE to temporarily blank the display without powering off the projector. 

  • Source Selection: Choose what appears on screen. 

    • LECTERN PC: Routes the built-in lectern computer. 

    • EXTERNAL INPUT: Displays content from connected guest devices (e.g., HDMI laptop connections). 

    • AIRMEDIA: Opens the wireless presentation interface for mobile devices and laptops. 

  • Speaker Volume: Adjust room output volume using the Up/Down arrows on the right side. Tap the Mute icon to temporarily silence speaker playback.  

  • Mic Mute: Tap the MIC MUTE button in the bottom right corner to quickly mute all active microphones in the room. 

  • Sub-Panel Menus: Select AUDIO CONTROLS or CAMERA CONTROLS on the top right to open advanced control pop-ups.

Advanced Microphone & ALS Controls 

  • Tapping AUDIO CONTROLS from the main menu opens the advanced audio adjustment screen. 

  • Advanced Microphone Controls: 

    • PRESENTER: Toggle the instructor/lectern microphone on or off. 

    • STUDENT: Toggle audience and student desk microphones on or off. 

    • MIC MUTE: Mutes all room microphones simultaneously. 

  • ALS Volume: Adjust levels for the Assistive Listening System using the Up/Down arrow buttons and monitor output with the level bar on the right. 

  • Exit: Tap the X in the top-right corner to return to the main dashboard.

Camera Tracking & PTZ Controls 

  • Tapping CAMERA CONTROLS from the main menu opens the pan-tilt-zoom (PTZ) and tracking options. 

  • Camera Tracking Controls: 

    • TRACKING ON: Enables automated framing to follow the active presenter. 

    • TRACKING OFF: Disables automatic tracking to allow manual control. 

    • Manual Camera Controls: 

  •  DIRECTIONALS: Use the pan/tilt arrows to point the camera manually. Tap the Home icon in the center to re-center the lens. 

    • ZOOM: Use the + and - magnifying glass icons to zoom in or out. 

    • Presets: Quickly jump to pre-configured camera angles: 

      • WIDE: Captures the full stage and front of the room. 

      • TIGHT: Zooms directly in on the presenter/lectern. 

      • NORMAL: Standard framed view of the instructional area.

System Shutdown & Support 

System Power Off: When your session is finished, log off the lectern computer and tap the red Power icon in the top right corner of the screen to shut down the projector and system equipment.
