What Is It?

WebStore is the primary software distribution source for the University of Illinois. WebStore provides volume-license discounted software products available to students, faculty, and staff at UIC and the other two universities within the University of Illinois System. Requirements

  • A valid UIC NetID and affiliation is required in order to purchase software from the WebStore. After placing the software order, you will receive an email confirmation from webstore@illinois.edu. For certain products (for example, SAS statistical software), you will have the option to have the software shipped directly to you.
  • Log in to the WebStore before browsing. After you log in to the store, you will be able to view products that you are eligible to purchase. Otherwise, you may see multiple offers for the same product because the offers may be different between UIUC, UIC, or UIS.
    • Personal purchase software is for personally-owned computers and requires a valid credit card for items that are not free.

    • Unit purchase software is for University-owned computers and requires a Banner Account Number for items that are not free.

  • Please note: “Faculty/Staff only” products will require a UIC mail code.

How Much Does It Cost?

  • Products available in the WebStore have different prices. Please check the WebStore for more information. University P-Cards are not accepted as payment. Offers labeled -UIUC ONLY or -UIS ONLY do not apply to UIC. Unit Purchase software is for University-owned machines
  • Training offers listed in the Unit Purchase store are for individuals registering for courses that will be paid for by University funds
  • All purchases in the Unit Purchase store require a Banner Account Number for items that are not free
