Dell Data Protection

About this service

Service Alert
On April 4, 2022, Technology Services will be retiring the Dell Data Protection (DDP) service that has been used to securely encrypt endpoints. The servers related to this service will be turned off on this date.

The Technology Services Endpoint Services (EPS) team is working with DDP service stakeholders to transition to Workspace ONE for disk encryption and recovery key escrow. After April 4, any remaining DDP clients will be unable to communicate with the console and will have issues removing the DDP software and unencrypting the endpoint.

Instructions for uninstalling DDP from endpoints can be found here.

If you have questions, please contact the EPS team at https://go.illinois.edu/EPSHelp.
