Courses will sometimes stay active on your Canvas Dashboard after a semester ends, causing them to show up on the course list and dashboard long after they are finished. While you might not be able to remove courses directly, they can be hidden from the dashboard by following the steps below:
1. First, click Courses in the menu along the left side of the screen.
2. Next, click All Courses at the top of the course list.
3. You will then see two lists of courses, including your active and past enrollments. Any course in your active enrollments may be selected or deselected as a favorite by clicking the star. A favorite course will have an orange star, while other courses will have an empty star. Only courses marked as favorite will show up in your course list and on your dashboard.
