The CATE team offers free professional development through online webinars and in-person workshops to help instructors and teaching assistants with teaching with technology.

Webinars/Workshops

Webinars are offered on a regular basis either through CATE or through our approved vendors. Register for upcoming events here.

Short workshops and in-person training sessions are also offered on a number of software and web-related topics. Please note that priority is given to UIC faculty, staff, and students. If there is available seating, members from other University of Illinois System universities are welcome to attend.

A workshop can also be tailored to the needs of a particular academic department per request. Please ensure at least ten participants request a session. Email teaching@uic.edu for more information.

One-on-One Consulting

Technology Solutions provides faculty with one-on-one consulting for Blackboard Learn and other learning technologies. Contact us at LTS@uic.edu for more information.

If a webinar or workshop is scheduled, it is typically within 60 days.
