How can I download and install Grammarly on University-Managed Laptops and Computer Labs?

This article provides detailed instructions for IT staff on downloading and installing the Grammarly software on university-managed laptops or computer labs. The process ensures all faculty and student laptops are equipped with Grammarly to enhance writing assistance across the university community.

If your computer is managed by your college or department, please ask your IT department to follow the below directions:

Step-by-Step Guide 

1. Accessing the Grammarly Installer (as administrator). Please choose one of the below options:

   • Individual deployment:
     • Chrome: https://www.grammarly.com/browser/chrome
     • Windows: https://www.grammarly.com/desktop/windows
     • Mac: https://www.grammarly.com/desktop/mac
   • Packaged Installers:
     • For per-machine installers that can be used on computer lab devices, please visit: https://download-windows.grammarly.com/GrammarlyInstaller-perMachine.exe (Please note that the per-machine installer does not auto-update and will need to be updated every 3 months.)
     • IT Deployment with Intune, or JAMF: https://www.grammarly.com/business/it-deployment-guide.pdf

2. Downloading the Installer:

   • Select the appropriate installer package for the laptops (Windows/Mac).
   • Click the 'Download Grammarly It's free' button to start the download process.
