This article explains how to request a Google Group at UIC.

New Google Groups must be requested via email to

Include the following:

  • Name of the group
  • Desired email address for the group (which must be approved)
  • Name and NetID of the group's owner
  • Description of the purpose of the group

Note: Once a UIC Google Group has been created, you will not be allowed to change its email address.
